Les Georgettes has reappropriated it for its Les Intemporels collection, with engravings that repeat the reptile pattern. Our Les Intemporels jewellery line is created to accompany every woman in precious moments of life. These ready-to-wear jewellery pieces can be combined with your own personalisations. Manufacturing
This item was designed in our Parisian creative studio and made in Thailand in our partner's workshops.
Manufactured in our partner factories in the Ardèche, in what is known as the "Vallée du Bijou" in Le Cheylard, our jewellery is crafted by experts who combine tradition and modernity in their manufacturing processes. What materials are used for Les Georgettes? Where do they come from? We tell you all about it here.
Our Jewellery
Brass:
At Les Georgettes, the bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings are made of brass. This material is characterised by its alloying of two natural metals; copper (from the same family as gold and silver) and zinc. Thanks to the final stage of the manufacturing process, known as "electroplating", the brass that makes up our costume jewellery can be adorned with a gold, rose gold, or silver finish.

Zirconium oxides:
A man-made creation, zirconium oxide - otherwise known as zirconia (and not to be confused with zircon) - aims to get as close as possible to a precious stone. While not a natural product, it does offers more than one advantage. Firstly, its resemblance to the diamond is striking, and its brilliance just as dazzling. Furthermore, its resistance makes it scratch-proof and guarantees its quality. Finally, it allows the jewellery it embellishes to remain affordable. If you like jewellery that sparkles, zirconium oxide remains by far the best alternative to diamonds.

Leather and imitation leathers
Leather Inserts:
At Les Georgettes, all our leather comes from European tanneries. These leather inserts, which can be recognised on account of their thickness and their grain, are refined, heat-sealed, and then cut to fit to each piece of jewellery, before being dyed with a spray gun to create a different colour on each side of the leather. At Les Georgettes, the cuff bracelets, hoop, dangling, sleeper earrings, and the necklace pendants can be customised by adding leather. See our jewellery with leather inserts
Imitation leathers :
Recognisable by its fine and smooth appearance, imitation leather does not come from animal sources. At Les Georgettes, we add imitation leather to our rings as it is better suited for pieces with such a small surface area. This synthetic leather can also offer a solution should anyone vegan wish to personalise one of our pieces of jewellery. What's more, imitation leather is much more resistant to water than leather, making it practical for rings, which you tend to run under water several times a day when washing your hands. See our imitation leathers
Watches
Stainless steel:
Composed mainly of iron, a little carbon, and some added chromium, as its name suggests, stainless steel offers the advantage of not rusting. While it looks very similar to silver, it can be made in other colours. At Les Georgettes, all our mesh watches are made of stainless steel, which guarantees that they will not darken and remain much more affordable than gold or silver watches! See our watches

Care guide
You can clean your bracelet by using a cleansing milk and a damp cotton pad.
Our Les Georgettes jewellery reflects our expertise in French manufacturing and deserves to be treated with the utmost respect. And to pamper your pieces properly, we recommend you handle them carefully. In this article, we give you lots of advice on how to take care of them properly without damaging them.
The golden rules
First of all, we recommend you wait to put your jewellery on until you're made-up, dressed and ready, just before you go out. That way, you avoid contact with the corrosive or chemical products that may be in perfumes and make-up.
We advise you not to wear your jewellery during sports, manual activities (DIY, gardening, housework, etc.) or water sports (at the pool or in the sea). Also, please remember that your jewellery doesn't like water! So avoid getting it wet when you have a bath, wash your hands or do the dishes.
Your pet enjoys your caresses, but your Les Georgettes jewellery will happily do without them. It's best not to fiddle with it too much! If you need to adjust it, follow the tips in this article.
Care
You have two options for caring for your jewellery:
Once a month, shampoo your jewellery gently with neutral soap and lukewarm water. Then, wipe the pieces gently using a clean cotton towel, but don't rub them.
You could also apply lemon juice diluted in water on a chamois or make-up remover pad.
CAUTION: NEVER use a paper towel, cloth or handkerchief. You risk scratching your jewellery if you do.
Cleaning
There are three ways you can remove a stain from your jewellery:
Toothpaste: apply it on a toothbrush and rub gently where your jewellery is stained. The more recent the stain, the easier it will be to remove.
White vinegar: mix it with flour and coarse salt to make a paste. Apply it gently with your fingertips to avoid scratching.
Baking soda: a small amount onto a chamois.
PLEASE NOTE: This technique reduces stains; it doesn't make them disappear. If the stain is stubborn, use one of the two options mentioned above instead.
Make it shine
What's your 2-in-1 best friend when it comes to making your Les Georgettes creations shine and sparkle? Cleansing milk. It preserves your brass jewellery's lustre and makes your reversible leathers shine, too. Always start by using the cleansing milk on the piece of jewellery, applying it with a cotton wool ball soaked in the cleanser. Then, finish with the leather to remove any marks. Tadaaa! Your jewellery and leather will be like new. You can also use this technique with a shoe cream specially designed for leather. For the best possible result on brass, soak your jewellery for an hour in lukewarm water with white vinegar or diluted lemon juice roughly four times a year. This will revive your jewellery's
Storage
Follow these three simple steps:
Remove the leather & faux leather from your jewellery
Place the jewellery in its original case OR in a jewellery box. Always take care to keep your pieces of jewellery separate: don't let them get jumbled up.
Store your jewellery, leather & faux leather in a clean, dry place, away from light and, above all, dust!
