Fresh air and romance will be the order of the day at the International Garden Festival, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary! This year's theme, titled "ideal garden", focuses on the relationship between people and plants, how this relationship evolved, and where it's headed. An invitation to while away the hours with a truly awe-inspiring visit to the Chaumont-sur-Loire regional heritage park.

For 20 years now, Paris Plage has been bringing a holiday feeling to the capital city. Fine sand spread over several kilometres, deckchairs, parasols and leisure activities stretch out along the quays of the Seine and in the La Villette district. These replicas of the seaside are being seen more and more in the larger cities. At Lille Plage, paddling pools and play areas are set up along the Boulevard de Strasbourg, while Port Viguerie in Toulouse hosts entertainment around a pop-up bar, a Ferris wheel and water-based leisure activities.
