Portraits of women

They each have their own personalities, their daily lives, their jobs, their passions. In one way or another, they interact with our brand. All different and yet all a bit Georgettes, they also share our values: freedom, creativity, sisterhood. In short, they are unique. Because all these women inspire us, we are very proud to share their portraits with you, and celebrate International Women's Day with dignity.

Do you have a passion, hobby or activity that drives you?
I am currently an art therapist working in child and adolescent psychiatry. I am driven and passionate about art. Everything is related to this in my hobbies. When I have free time, I like to see exhibitions, meet friends who are craftsmen and discover their work and so on.

In your daily life, which woman inspires you the most?
It's more like a group... of young women. I admire this generation that wants to assert itself as an individual and that shakes things up. I work with teenage girls and they are the most beautiful representatives of feminism today. They can be counted on, just as much as the young boys who are growing up with different benchmarks and are also going down this path. I think of the young singer Eddy de Pretto and his song "Tu seras un homme". Things are moving forward, and that's good.

What are your favourite Les Georgettes jewellery items?
The earrings! Especially the pair of 25mm Boucles earrings, the Sleeper earrings and the Girafe ones, from Les Cadettes.

"I admire this generation of young women (...) they are the most beautiful representatives of feminism today."

What does our motto mean to you: Freedom, creativity, sisterhood?
This motto is totally in line with Les Georgettes jewellery, which reflects it perfectly. The women of the group "Les Georgettes, une passion commune" (Les Georgettes, a common passion) also embody it, through their publications and exchanges of advice. They take care of each other and share their ideas. A real little family has been created around Les Georgettes jewellery. Never change this motto!

In your daily life, which woman inspires you the most?
If I had to choose a French woman, because of her class and her smile, I would choose the First Lady, Brigitte Macron, who represents the Georgettes woman to perfection. Internationally, I would say Julia Roberts. She is natural, not necessarily made up, and appears true to herself.

Could you describe the Georgette woman in one word?
Exceptional!

What do you like about Les Georgettes jewellery? What are your favourites?
I like the idea that you can play with a piece of jewellery and make it your own, thanks to its reversible leathers and infinite range of colours. I like that it is for all women, whatever their age, their lifestyle or their social background. My favourites? The 40mm width Girafe bracelet in a gold finish, but also the pretty Palmier Mesh Watch in gold finish, so elegant...

Could you describe the Georgette woman in one word?
Free/Happy.

What does our motto mean to you: Freedom, creativity, sisterhood?
The unlimited power of transformation in the course of one's life when one is born a woman, the freedom to reflect and become whatever one wants, the incredible strength of the collective, the infinite possibilities!

"The Georgette woman is free and happy!"

Do you have a passion, hobby or activity that drives you?
Literature: I like to travel through the great classics, such as the works of Jane Austen which take us back to 18th century England. I also like family sagas in which novelists such as Elena Ferrante or Lucinda Riley take us into the heart of their daily lives.

What is your relationship with jewellery?
Jewellery is an essential accessory in a woman's daily life. It gives her a touch of presence and confidence while at the same time affirming her femininity. It makes it even more beautiful than it already is.

In your daily life, which woman inspires you the most?
The woman who inspires me the most, and who is also an example for me, is my mum. I admire her strength for always moving forward and being optimistic. Her tenacity and courage showed me that in life, you must always be persistent and never give up. I will never thank her enough for the love and gentleness she gave me as well as for all the values she instilled in me.

Do you have a passion, hobby or activity that drives you?
Dancing. I started dancing at a very young age, first ballet and then modern jazz, which I had to stop because of a motorbike accident. After my recovery, I trained to teach step and aerobics classes. 12 years ago, I discovered salsa and the world of Latin dance, where the people are smiling, happy to dance and in a good mood. These moments during which I completely decompress are vital for my personal development.

What does our motto mean to you: Freedom, creativity, sisterhood?
Stop sexist clichés: "be beautiful, young, tall, thin", etc. All women are different, and so much the better! We are ALL beautiful and we ALL have things to say. In the creation of her own jewellery, as in her life, the Georgette woman is free to assert herself, to show her personality and her skills, to display her tastes and her choices without being judged, always under the benevolent gaze of other women. Together we are stronger to break down all the completely outdated stereotypes.

Could you describe the Georgette woman in one word?
Unique! We are ALL Georgettes and all unique, like the jewellery we create!
