ANIMAL RETRO
PATTERN TREND

Retro fashion, known for its animal prints and wild patterns, influences our new collection and features in our jewellery designs as well as on our leathers. We revisit our iconic Giraffe, bring boldness to our Tiger design with openwork patterns that strengthen its animalistic lines. All the designs have a sense of pop and fun! We mix things up too with a combination of two animal concepts – on the Cheetah/Azalea leather, with a retro animal motif and a coat in orange tones. A reptile effect appears through the metallic colour effect. The same leather features on the Pure Serpent cuff. This concept of layering and associating colours and materials can be seen in the Reptile Chain cuff for example, designed to be worn as a set with the Chain earrings. So colourful!

LUXURY, CURVES AND DELIGHT
DESIGN TREND

The "Nouvelle Vague" film movement inspired the Georgettes team both in form and substance! The curves in the patterns – like our Chain and Sixties designs for example – represent this famous wave with undulations giving a rhythmic effect, a decorative trend used widely in the 60s. Along the same lines, the other great inspiration for this new collection is a bit of "folie architecturale" that overlooks the Bay of Cannes: The Palais Bulles which belonged to the couturier Pierre Cardin and was designed by architect Antti Lovag. There, we discover Pierre Cardin's objets d'art from the sixties, but above all, the couturier's attraction to roundness, which he himself expressed when describing his 1,200 m² villa: "Since the beginning of my career, roundness has been a constant in all my designs. I wanted to be the promoter of the unusual”.

POP PURPLE, ELECTRIC ORANGE
COLOUR TREND

The jewellery and leathers in our new Spring/Summer collection belong to a universe with a retro vibe. So naturally, they're adorned with purple and orange, which were particularly in vogue at the time. LES CADETTES collection with its bangle, hoop earrings and ring reveals pretty shades of orange for example The same warm tones (that are found on our patterned leathers) are contrasted by purple colours (on our plain leathers in particular). The latter are elevated by their metallic colours that make them look really precious.
